Barbara Souza Camara '60 passed away in August 2016. 

Obituary was not available. Thanks to Jackie Menghini Pickard '60 and Arlene Almada Lopes '60, who provided information.  Bonnie Perry Teixeira ’60 also confirmed facts regarding Barbara. 

In August, date not known, Barbara Souza Camara died from cancer.  

Her husband Bob Camara died from cancer shortly before Barbara. 

Barbara took care of Bob at home.  After Bob passed away, Barbara went to the doctor. She thought her fatigue was from caring for Bob, but received a diagnosis of end stage cancer. A short time later, a month or two at most, she passed away. 

They lived in Coverdale, CA, moving from Minden, NV, to be closer to their three sons and grandchildren.  

Barbara enjoyed knitting.  Some baby sweaters and hats she made are being donated, in Barbara’s memory, through the Layette Group at Arlene's church, Santa Teresa Catholic Parish in San Jose, for needy babies.

There were no services for Barbara and Bob.
